Confessions of a Dangerous Mind:

- Lorelai and Rory deal with the events of Sookie and Jackson's wedding (Chris leaving Lorelai, Rory 
kissing Jess)
- Rory tells Lane about the kiss.
- Dean finds out that Jess is back in town.

Leave a Message at the Beep:

- Lorelai and Rory avoid Chris's phone calls.
- Rory and Jess talk for the first time since the kiss. Rory basically tells him it was a mistake.
- Emily and Richard find out that Chris has gone back to Sherry.

Kissing Cousins and Confidants:

- Luke is asked out on a Date by Sookie's cousin, Linda. (who he met while she was in town for the 
wedding)
- Lorelai is jealous and agrees to go on a date with a guest at the inn.
- Rory goes to see Jess, but when she gets to Luke's apartment she finds him with Shane.
- Lorelai's date goes badly and she ends up crying on Luke's shoulder about Chris. She and Luke make 
up after the fight they had in Season 2.

Objection (tango):

- Rory and Jess have a fight about Shane.
- Lorelai and Rory agree to take dance lessons at Miss Patty's.
- Sookie and Jackson's wedding photos come back, and one of them is of Rory and Jess kissing. Lorelai 
sees it.
- Lorelai confronts Rory about the kiss.
- Chris shows up in town.

All's Fair in Love and War:

- Chris and Lorelai have a fight in the diner, and Luke basically kicks him out.
- Rory tries to focus on Dean and make things work between them.
- Lane and Dave meet.
- Rory apologizes to Jess.

It's Not Supposed to Hurt This Way:

- Shane tells Jess off for treating her badly and he agrees to try and stop.
- Linda asks Luke on a 3rd date, and when Shane and Jess tease him about it, he gets nervous.
- Rory sees Shane and Jess acting like a real couple and admits to Lane that it hurts.
- Luke calls off his 3rd date with Linda after talking to Lorelai about it.

All or Nothing at All:

- Jess's mom is in a car accident in New York. Rory goes with him to visit her.
- When they get back to Stars Hollow, Rory asks Jess to drop her off at Dean's because she's made up 
her mind about something.

This Years Love Had Better Last:

- Rory breaks up with Dean and he takes it badly.
- Jess breaks up with Shane. She takes it better but is still hurt.
- Lane and Dave meet again at the music store.
- Jess and Rory have their first real kiss as a couple.

Nobody Here But Us Chickens:

- Rory asks Jess if they can keep their relationship a secret until Dean has had time to move on and 
Lorelai has had time to accept Jess.
- Lane convinces Lorelai to let the band use her garage for practice.
- Lorelai and Luke agree to practice their first date skills on one another by going on a pretend 
date.
- Jess isn't exactly thrilled that he can't even put his arm around Rory in public.

Murder For Breakfast:

- Rory and Jess continue to sneak around.
- The coffee machine at the Inn breaks. Lorelai calls Luke to fix it, but Luke sends Jess instead. - 
Jess manages to fix the coffee machine, which wins him a few (small) points with Lorelai.
