Kissing You:

- Lorelai and Luke go on their pretend date.
- Jess comes over to spend the evening with Rory.
- Dave calls Lane and asks her on a date.
- After their date, Lorelai is obviously starting to see Luke in a new way.

The Landslide Will Bring You Down:


- Shane comes to the diner to return some of Jess's things, which makes Rory uneasy.
- Lorelai and Luke continue to flirt.
- Chris calls but Rory ignores it, until he leaves a message saying that Sherry miscarried.
- Rory tells Lorelai about the baby and Lorelai agrees to let Chris stay with them for a while.

Get a Hobby? Get a Room!:

- Lorelai admits to Sookie that she's unsure of how she feels about Chris's return.
- Rory and Lorelai go to Luke's after Friday night dinner and Rory is jealous when she sees Jess and 
Shane talking.
- Lorelai goes to pick something up at the Inn after a town meeting, leaving Rory to go home alone. 
When she gets home, Rory finds an intruder in the house and calls Luke.
- Jess is frustrated that, since his relationship with Rory is still a secret, he has no excuse to go 
with Luke and make sure she's ok.

I'll Always Be Around:

- Luke offers to let Lorelai and Rory stay with him for the night so they don't have to stay at their 
house.
- Luke comforts Lorelai when she breaks down about what could have happened to Rory.
- Jess comforts Rory.
- Luke fits better locks at the Gilmore house and he and Lorelai almost kiss.
- Chris comes back.
- Jess tells Rory that they're either a couple or they're not. She kisses him in a diner full of 
people, confirming that they are.

How Do You Like Dem Apples?:

- Jess tells Luke not to just sit back and let Chris have Lorelai.
- Lorelai and Chris try and talk Rory out of dating Jess but she won't listen.
- Shane and Jess bump into each other at Doose's. She almost kisses him and Dean sees.
- Rory and Jess are picking out a video at the video store. When Rory goes to pay, Dean threatens 
Jess.

Shadow of a Doubt:

- Dean tells Rory that he saw Jess and Shane looking 'cozy' in the market.
- Rory asks Jess about it, and when he finds out that Dean told her he gets annoyed and pretends he's 
too busy to talk to her.
- Rory tells Lorelai that she doesn't like Shane hanging around Jess.
- Jess apologizes to Rory for getting mad. She admits she doesn't like Shane hanging around him and 
he admits he doesn't like the fact that she and Dean are friends.

Classified Information and Feisty Hookers:

- Luke gives Lorelai the cold shoulder because she seems to have passed him over for Chris.
- Rory, Lane and Jess hang out in the Diner.
- Chris and Lorelai watch some movies together and end up kissing. But Lorelai stops it and says 
she's not ready to go down that road with him again.

Drifting In and Out of Blue:

- Lorelai tries to avoid Chris.
- Rory and Dean have their first comfortable conversation as friends.
- Lorelai tries to find out why Luke is being cool towards her, but he insists that nothing is wrong.
- Rory and Jess fight when he refuses to go to the end of summer festival with her.
- Chris and Lorelai agree to put the kiss behind them and just be friends.
- Shane tells Jess off for being too stubborn to go to the festival. When he does go he finds Rory and 
Dean talking and gets upset.

My Whole World Surrounds You:


- After the festival, Rory fears her relationship with Jess might be over.
- The next day, Jess 'kidnaps' Rory and takes her to Coney Island. (where he used to go as a kid). 
It's his way of sharing something important with her.
- Lane and Dave have their first kiss and Dave tells Lane that he'll wait as long as he has to for 
their first real date.

The Tale of Jess, and Other Stories:

- Jess and Rory go back to his old apartment and he tells her about why he was sent to Stars Hollow. 
She tells him that his past doesn't matter to her. He almost tells her he loves her but is 
interrupted by Liz coming home.
- Lorelai continues to pester Luke about what's wrong with him and he ends up yelling at her for 
using him. After he tells her that he loves her she leaves the diner in tears.
- When Rory and Jess get back from New York he promises to go to the next town festival without 
kicking and screaming.
- Lorelai announces to Rory that they're going on a road trip but won't tell her why.
