Never Held Emotion In The Palm of My Hand:

- Shane takes Jess to the bridge, where Rory is waiting. Rory tells Jess she loves him and he 
eventually admits that he loves her too.
- Lorelai realizes she still has strong feelings for Luke.
- Jess and Rory come back to the diner and Luke guesses that they are back together again.
- Luke goes to see Lorelai and tells her that he made a mistake when he told her that she should 
accept Chris's proposal. He kisses her and then leaves just as Chris is coming home.

Choose To See With Such a Different Sight:

- Lorelai confides in Rory about what is going on with Luke. Rory tells her to do what would make her 
happy.
- Rory breaks up with Dean again and he takes it badly and confronts Jess in the diner, leaving him 
with a black eye before being escorted outside by Lorelai.
- Dave and Lane sneak off for a first date.
- Luke tries to apologize to Lorelai for the kiss but they end up kissing again just as Jess walks in 
on them.

The One Thing That I Tried To Hold On To:

- Lorelai tells Sookie about the kisses with Luke, but Sookie doesn't know what to tell her to do.
- Chris catches Rory and Jess kissing in her room and kicks Jess out, making Rory mad at him.
- Lorelai and Luke talk about how to deal with things and Lorelai says they can't keep kissing, but 
neither of them seem happy with that idea.
- Lorelai goes home and Chris confronts her about how strange she's been acting since they got 
engaged. She admits that she's not happy and gives him the ring back.

Sometimes It Be That Way:

- Rory finds out that the engagement is off and tries to comfort Lorelai.
- Chris tells Lorelai he's moving back out to California.
- When Dean sees Rory and Jess kissing in the street he and Jess almost get into another fight.
- Lorelai and Rory say goodbye to Chris as he leaves town.
- At the town meeting the residents discuss the engagement party they're planning for Lorelai and 
Chris, but Lorelai shows up at the end of the meeting and announces that they're no longer engaged.

Let's Give Them Something To Talk About:

- The town gossips about why Lorelai and Chris broke up, and after going through a variety of ideas, 
they realize that Lorelai and Luke might finally be together.
- Jess and Rory try to comfort Shane after a particularly bad date.
- Lorelai and Luke decide that if the whole town is going to gossip about them being a couple, they 
may as well give them what they want.

The Horror!:

- Halloween in Stars Hollow.
- Lorelai asks Jess 'Trick or Treat' and he chooses 'Trick', so she comes up with a plan to trick 
him.
- Lorelai, Luke, Rory, Sookie and Jackson get together and play a trick on Jess, making him think 
something terrible has happened to Rory.

Revenge is Sweet:

- After the prank played on him, Jess is constantly teased by Lorelai for his reaction.
- Jess enlists Shane to help him play a prank on Lorelai, Luke and Rory.
- Jess and Shane pretend to fight in the diner and then Shane pulls a gun on Jess and asks him why he 
loves Rory and not her. She makes him choose between her and Rory, he chooses Rory and Lorelai, Luke 
and Rory watch in horror as she pulls the trigger... and nothing happens.

Greased Lightnin':

- Rory is still in shock from Jess's prank and tells Jess that she wants to sleep with him, but he 
talks her out of it because he can tell she's not ready. 
- Lorelai invites Luke back to her place but nothing happens.
- The town prepares for their dance marathon, with a 'Grease' theme.
- During the Marathon, Jess and Rory take a break and Jess sees his father getting out of a cab in 
the town square.

It's Been A While Since I Said I'm Sorry:

- Jess refuses to talk to his father and he and Rory fight when she tries to convince him he should.
- Jimmy asks Rory to give Jess a letter.
- Jess comes to Rory's window and apologizes to her for the fight. She lets him in and gives him 
Jimmy's letter. He doesn't open it. They start kissing and Lorelai walks in.
- Jimmy comes to the diner to talk to Jess and Jess yells at him and leaves.

I am Ready, I am Fine:

- Rory talks Jess into hearing Jimmy's side of the story. 
- Lorelai tells Luke about finding Jess in Rory's room and they talk about their concerns with Rory 
and Jess's relationship.
- Jimmy tries to tell Jess why he left but Jess is too angry to listen and takes everything badly.
- Rory lies to Lorelai and tells her that she's home alone, when really Jess is there. She and Jess 
end up kissing and she convinces him that she's ready to have sex.
